1. Your Personalization Is Prepared
Each album begins with the information provided with the order: names, a date, a destination, coordinates, or meaningful wording. The selected cover design is adjusted around those details so the engraving feels like part of the original composition rather than text added afterward.
A free digital proof is sent within 12–24 hours. Production begins only after the design has been approved.
2. The Cover Is Laser Engraved
The design and personalization are laser engraved directly into the reinforced three-layer Baltic Birch cover. Unlike printing, vinyl, or a surface decal, the engraving becomes part of the wood itself. The natural grain remains visible, giving every completed cover a slightly different character.
Customers can choose from seven cover finishes: Black, Palisander, Oak, Mahogany, Natural Wood, Dark Walnut, and Walnut.
3. The Wood Is Finished by Hand
After engraving, the wooden cover is carefully cleaned, sanded, and finished by hand. This stage smooths the surface, refines the engraved details, and prepares the cover for its protective finish. We also inspect the wood grain and engraving before the album moves to assembly.
4. The Album Is Assembled
The front and back wooden covers are joined with a flexible leather spine. Inside, a four-ring metal binder allows the album to open flat while you arrange photographs and write on the pages.
The rings can also be opened, making it possible to remove or rearrange sheets as the scrapbook develops. Two leather straps with snap closures keep the completed album securely closed.
5. Pages and Scrapbooking Accessories Are Added
The album contains heavyweight 230 g/m² acid-free archival cardstock, available in White or Black. Unlike albums with fixed plastic pockets, the blank pages give you space to combine:
- Printed photographs
- Polaroid and Instax pictures
- Boarding passes and ticket stubs
- Maps and postcards
- Handwritten notes and captions
- Fully dried, flat pressed leaves
- Other lightweight, flat travel keepsakes
Every album also includes photo corners and a permanent marker, so you can begin arranging the pages without using glue.
6. Final Inspection and Packing
Before shipping, we inspect the engraving, cover finish, leather spine, binder rings, straps, pages, and personalization. The finished album is then carefully packed for its journey to you.
Production normally takes 5–7 business days after proof approval, and shipping within the USA is free.
📐 Choose the Right Album Size
- Small — 6 × 8.5 in: 20–50 sheets. A compact choice for weekend trips, Instax photographs, or one special journey.
- Medium — 8.5 × 12 in: 30–60 sheets. Offers more room for standard photographs, captions, maps, and tickets.
- Large — 12 × 12 in: 30–80 sheets. Best for detailed layouts, larger photographs, long trips, or a collection of adventures.
One sheet provides two usable pages—front and back.

Is this a photo album or a scrapbook?
It can be used as both. Instead of fixed plastic pockets, it has blank archival cardstock pages that let you arrange photographs, notes, tickets, maps, and other lightweight keepsakes in your own layout.
Can I change the wording on the cover?
Yes. Depending on the selected design, you can add names, a date, destination, coordinates, or custom wording. We send a digital proof before engraving so you can review the layout.
Are the pages safe for long-term photo storage?
Yes. The album uses 230 g/m² acid-free archival cardstock in White or Black. Photo corners are included for attaching printed photographs without applying glue directly to them.
Can I add or rearrange pages?
Yes. The internal four-ring binder opens, allowing sheets to be removed or rearranged. Available sheet quantities depend on the selected album size.
How long does production take?
A free digital proof is normally sent within 12–24 hours. After approval, handcrafted production takes approximately 5–7 business days. Delivery time is calculated separately, and shipping within the USA is free.
