Can we change "First 45 Years" to our own number?
Yes — the wording is fully customizable. "First 45 Years" becomes First 5, First 25, First 60, or any milestone you're celebrating. You can also replace the whole phrase with your own line, or add your names. Type it exactly as it should appear in the engraving field.
What is the color showing through the trees?
That's the first page of the album — the forest is cut fully through the wooden cover, and the page shows through the openings. You choose the shade in the First Page Color menu: 16 colors, from the soft mint shown to gold, deep red, or classic white.
Can we include the range of years, like "From 1981 thru Forever"?
Absolutely — the album shown reads "From 1981–2026 thru Forever". Add your wedding year, the current year, names, or any short line beneath the main wording, and we'll arrange it in the layout.
Is the cutout design delicate?
The forest is cut from reinforced 3-layer wood and sits over a solid backing page, which supports the cover across its whole surface. Like any detailed wood cutout, it's best handled with normal care, but the cover is built for regular album use.
Is this album suitable for older family photographs?
Yes. The 230 g/m² acid-free archival cardstock provides a substantial base for photographs, and the included self-adhesive photo corners allow prints to be mounted without applying adhesive directly to them. Photos can also be removed or repositioned later.
Can we adjust the forest design?
Small adjustments to this design can be requested in your order notes and will be shown in your digital proof before engraving. If you'd like a completely different scene instead, choose Layout 24 — "Custom layout according to your request" and describe your idea; we'll draw it from scratch.
How many photos and pages should we choose?
Depending on orientation, Small fits one 4 × 6 in photo per page, Medium up to two, and Large up to three. One sheet = two pages, and you choose from 30 sheets (60 pages) up to 80 sheets (160 pages) at checkout. The 4-ring binder opens, so pages can be removed or rearranged.
Will we see the design before it's made?
Always. Within 12–24 hours of ordering you'll receive a free digital proof with your wording, years, and colors exactly as they'll be made. Production starts only after your approval — and small adjustments at this stage are free.
