Can the heart connect two names of very different lengths?
Yes — the layout is redrawn for your exact names, so "Jo ♥ Alexandra" balances just as naturally as "Eric ♥ Monica". The heart sits where the script flows best, and you'll see the exact composition in your free design preview before we engrave anything.
Can I pick a different font and keep the heart?
You can choose from all 20 font styles. Several of our scripts include the connected-heart flourish, and for other fonts we'll adapt the heart placement so the design keeps its character — your preview will show precisely how your combination looks.
Will the floral corners look the same on a darker cover?
The blooms are laser-engraved into the wood, so the artwork itself is identical on any of the 7 cover finishes — only the contrast changes. On light and warm tones the lines read as deep brown; on Black or Dark Walnut the engraving reveals the lighter wood beneath, so the design appears in light lines on a dark background.
How many sheets do I need for my guest count?
It depends on the page layout you pick — and guests can write on both sides of every sheet. Photo layouts fit 1-2 entries per side (a Polaroid plus a wish each), while lined and blank layouts easily take 2-3 shorter messages per side.
- 30 sheets: comfortably cover an intimate wedding.
- 45 sheets: suit a mid-size guest list.
- 60 sheets: give a large reception room to spare — many couples size up and let the empty pages collect anniversary notes in the years after.
What pens should guests use?
Every order already includes 2 engraved wooden pens, and the thick 230 g/m² pages take ballpoint and gel pens without any bleed-through. If you choose black pages, hand guests a metallic or white-ink pen — signatures glow on the dark paper.
Do you check the design with me before engraving?
Always. Within 12–24 hours of your order you'll receive a digital preview with your names, heart, florals, and date exactly as they'll be engraved. Production starts only after your approval — and small adjustments at this stage are free.
