Does the cutout work with every letter — even W or I?
All 26. The monogram isn't one template with a letter dropped in — the composition is redrawn around your specific initial, so a wide W, a narrow I, or an open-counter Q each get proportions that look right. Your 12–24 hour preview shows your exact letter before we cut anything.
Isn't a cut-through cover fragile?
This is exactly why the cover is 3-layer Baltic birch — cross-layered plywood keeps its stiffness even with a full letter cut out, where a single-layer board would flex or crack. The cut edges are laser-sealed and smooth to the touch, and the band across the letter adds structure as well as style.
Will both our names fit on the band across the letter?
Yes — the band's script is sized to your names: "Greg and Sandy" flows at one scale, a longer pair at a slightly finer one, always balanced against the letter behind it. Type both names and your date in the ENGRAVING field exactly as you want them, and check the proportions in the preview.
Which initial should we choose — his, hers, or the new shared one?
Most couples cut the first letter of their married surname — the monogram then works for decades of anniversaries. But it's entirely your call: a first-name initial for a gift, or any letter that means something to you. Whatever you type in the ENGRAVING field is what we build the cover around.
How many sheets does a monogram book hold — and how many do we need?
The book comes with 30, 45, or 60 sheets, written on both sides: photo layouts fit 1-2 entries per side, lined and blank pages 2-3. Thirty covers an intimate wedding, forty-five a typical one, sixty a big reception — with pages left for the years the monogram is built to outlast.
Do we get to approve the cutout design first?
Yes, every order: a digital preview within 12–24 hours shows your letter, the band with your names, and the date — the exact cover we'll make. Cutting starts only after your approval, and preview-stage changes are free.
