📖Family Name Guest Book FAQ
How should we write our family name — "The Smiths", "Smith Family", or something else?
Any way you like — we engrave your name exactly as you type it in the ENGRAVING field, punctuation included. "The Smiths", "The Smith Family", "Smith" alone, or "Est. 2026" beneath it — all work with this layout. Not sure which reads best? Type your favorite version, and you can compare and change it at the free preview stage before anything is engraved.
Will a long or hyphenated last name fit?
Yes — the layout is rebuilt around your exact name, not squeezed into a fixed template. Long names, double-barreled names like "Garcia-Alvarez", and names with apostrophes are scaled and spaced so the cover stays balanced. Your preview will show the real proportions before we cut.
How do guests attach Polaroids — and will the pages hold them?
The 230 g/m² pages are dense enough for glue, glue dots, and double-sided tape — photos sit flat and the sheet underneath doesn't ripple.
- Photo page layouts mark a spot for the picture with lines beside it for the wish.
- Blank pages let guests place a photo anywhere and write around it.
Is this only for weddings?
The family-name design outlives the wedding day by design: afterwards it works as the family album and anniversary book, and many couples order it as a wedding or anniversary gift for parents — engraved with the parents' name and filled with photos before gifting.
Which sheet count fits our wedding?
Every sheet is written on front and back. With photo layouts plan for 1-2 guest entries per side; lined and blank pages take 2-3. As a guide: 30 sheets for a small ceremony, 45 for a mid-size reception, 60 for a big guest list — with room left over for the years ahead.
Can I approve the engraving before you make it?
That's how every order works: a digital preview arrives within 12–24 hours, showing your family name and date in the exact font and placement. Engraving begins only after your approval, and edits at that stage cost nothing.

The item looks exactly like the pictures, the quality is great.
The book is beautiful, the engraving is beautiful, the seller is very nice. But, the book is bound with only 2 binder rings and if you open the book, the 2 opposite sides move up and down vertically independently of one other. I'm worried as people sign it, itll rip the pages. It flops around quite a bit and is not sturdy. So, I'm trying to figure out if I can get it rebound locally, or if i need to but a whole new book that is bound with more than 2 binder rings. 3 rings wouldve fixed this issue, but something other than binder rings wouldve fixed that issue and would go with the kind of book it is better. The book is beautiful, so I'd hate to order another.
