What does the cover look like in Dark Walnut?
Dark Walnut is one of our 7 cover finishes. On this darker finish, laser engraving reveals the lighter wood beneath, creating the high-contrast lettering and landscape shown in the photos. On lighter finishes like Oak or Natural Wood the same design appears in warm darker tones instead.
Can we change the names, date, or wording?
Yes — the engraving is fully personalized. Add your names and date, or a short line or quote if you'd like. The layout is redrawn around your exact text and shown in the proof before engraving.
Is this a good gift for a mountain or winter wedding?
It's made for exactly that. The peak-and-pine design suits mountain weddings, winter weddings, cabin honeymoons, ski trips, and engagements on the trail — and works just as well as an anniversary keepsake for any couple who loves the mountains in any season.
Can we use a different font for our names?
Yes — choose from 20 font styles, from the flowing script shown to clean modern type. The names sit above the peak, and the layout is redrawn so short and long name pairs both stay balanced.
Can I use this as a stick-in travel scrapbook?
That's what it's built for. The 230 g/m² archival cardstock is thick enough to mount photos, trail maps, lift tickets, and Polaroids side by side, with room to write beside them. The included marker and photo corners let you start right away.
Can we adjust the mountain design?
Small adjustments to this design can be requested in your order notes and will be shown in your digital proof before engraving. If you'd like a completely different scene instead, choose Layout 24 — "Custom layout according to your request" and describe your idea; we'll draw it from scratch.
How many photos and pages should we choose?
Depending on orientation, Small fits one 4 × 6 in photo per page, Medium up to two, and Large up to three. One sheet = two pages, and you choose from 30 sheets (60 pages) up to 80 sheets (160 pages) at checkout. The 4-ring binder opens, so pages can be removed or rearranged.
Will we see the design before it's engraved?
Always. Within 12–24 hours of ordering you'll receive a free digital proof with your names and date exactly as they'll be engraved. Production starts only after your approval — and small adjustments at this stage are free.
