Is the ocean scene engraved or actually cut out?
It's a real cut-through design — the fish, ray, starfish and coral are open spaces in the cover, and the album's First Page Color shows through them. That's why the scene has visible depth. The name and date beside it are laser-engraved into the wood.
Can we choose a different color instead of blue?
Yes — the blue you see is the album's first page, and there are 16 colors to choose from. Ocean blue suits the sea theme, but sage, blush, or classic white work beautifully too — pick whatever matches the nursery.
Can we engrave two names, or a name and a nickname?
Of course — the engraving is fully personalized. Add a first name, full name, twins' names, or a short line like "Our little wave." The layout is redrawn around your exact text and shown in the proof.
Is this a good baby shower gift?
Yes. Parents-to-be can start filling it with ultrasound scans and early memories right away. If the baby's name isn't decided yet, the cover can be personalized with the family name, a short phrase, or another meaningful line instead.
Can we add drawings and keepsakes, not just photos?
That's what the thick pages are for. The 230 g/m² archival cardstock holds ultrasound prints, hospital keepsakes, first drawings, and handwritten notes alongside photos, with room to write beside them.
How many photos and pages should we choose?
Depending on orientation, Small fits one 4 × 6 in photo per page, Medium up to two, and Large up to three. One sheet = two pages, and you choose from 30 sheets (60 pages) up to 80 sheets (160 pages) at checkout. The 4-ring binder opens, so pages can be removed or rearranged as your album grows.
Will we see the design before it's made?
Always. Within 12–24 hours of ordering you'll receive a free digital proof with the name, date, and colors exactly as they'll be made. Production starts only after your approval — and small adjustments at this stage are free.
